We are seeking a qualified and experienced critical care nurse to provide high-acuity nursing care to medically complex patients in a home-based care setting. The nurse will ensure safe, continuous, and high-quality care while supporting patients and their families.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients at home
  • Monitor vital signs, respiratory status, neurological status, and overall patient condition
  • Manage advanced medical equipment (oxygen therapy, ventilators, infusion pumps, feeding tubes)
  • Administer IV medications, injections, and other prescribed treatments
  • Perform specialized procedures such as tracheostomy care, catheter care, and wound management
  • Identify early signs of patient deterioration and initiate emergency response
  • Educate patients and caregivers on care procedures and emergency preparedness
  • Maintain accurate nursing documentation and reports
  • Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and ethical standards

Qualifications and requirements

  • Higher diploma in critical care nursing
  • Valid Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) license
  • Minimum of 2–3 years ICU or critical care experience
  • BLS certification required; ACLS is an added advantage
  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills

The general nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in their homes, focusing on treatment, rehabilitation, health education, and monitoring of patient progress.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Conduct patient assessments and develop nursing care plans
  • Administer medications and prescribed treatments
  • Monitor patient condition and report any changes
  • Perform nursing procedures including wound dressing, injections, and catheter care
  • Support patients with chronic illnesses, post-operative care, and recovery
  • Educate patients and families on medication use, hygiene, nutrition, and disease management
  • Maintain accurate patient records and reports
  • Observe infection prevention and safety protocols

Qualifications and requirements

  • Diploma or degree in nursing
  • Valid Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) license
  • At least 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience
  • Experience in home-based or community nursing is an added advantage
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, feeding, dressing, toileting)
  • Assist with patient mobility, positioning, and transfers
  • Measure and record vital signs as directed
  • Maintain cleanliness of the patient and care environment
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
  • Observe and report any changes in patient condition to the nurse
  • Follow infection prevention and safety guidelines

Qualifications and requirements

  • Certificate in nursing assistant / health care assistant or related course
  • Basic training in first aid and infection prevention
  • Previous home care or hospital experience is an added advantage
  • Compassionate, reliable, and able to follow instructions
